Renaissance Stations Project:

The project is a group investigation of the Renaissance in Europe.  You will complete a number of activities/stations to help you learn about the Renaissance era.  You must complete every station.

STATION 1: Gathering Skills - Searching for the Renaissance on the Library Catalogue:

Directions:      Use the Library Search program to do the following:
                        Enter the search term: Renaissance
                        Click on the icon titled Subject


1. Write down how many subject headings include the term Renaissance __________


2. Open up the subject heading: Art--15th and 16th Centuries  Write down the title of the DVD that discuses Renaissance Art. ___________________________________

3. Click on the subject heading Renaissance. 
      a) Locate  and write down the title of a book that talks about science during                                                                                                 the Renaissance.  ______________________________________
      b). Find and write down the title of a book of a book that talks about Renaissance women. __________________

4. In your search results you will find a book titled, The Renaissance.    Click on the title of the book and open it up.  Find and write down all subject headings that are used to help us find this book.  Explain why it is useful to check and see ALL of the subject headings a book is listed under.
